Healthy Aging Expert Dr. Christine Rosenbloom: The Benefits of Tai Chi

Greetings!

I’m delighted to share with you this outstanding article just published by Healthy Aging expert Christine Rosenbloom, PhD, RDN, FAND:

Food and Fitness after 50: The Benefits of Tai Chi

Dr. Christine Rosenbloom

Dr. Rosenbloom, an internationally recognized expert in Healthy Aging, is a scientist, author, and Georgia Statue University professor emerita. Her background and experience sparkle as she takes on the topic of Tai Chi.

A friend’s question prompted Christine to explore the health benefits of Tai Chi. That led her to study scientific literature evaluating the effects of Tai Chi on a wide range of medical conditions.

Her investigation also included an interview with me. I was honored to support her efforts to spread the word about the value of Tai Chi as an exercise for Healthy Aging.

Here’s an excerpt from the article:

“My friend Bonne asked about the health benefits of Tai Chi for older adults, so I was thrilled to meet Chris Cinnamon, owner and head instructor of Chicago Tai Chi. I met Chris, an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified exercise physiologist, at the ASCM Health & Fitness Summit and we struck up a conversation about Tai Chi. I knew I had met the perfect person to help me understand and explain the benefits of this ancient martial art to my Food and Fitness After 50 friends.”
