Greetings!
You’re likely reading this letter because you’re feeling stressed. You feel under constant pressure to perform. And you rarely, if ever, really relax.
I empathize. That was my life too.
I practiced law for 22 years. Including 10 years as the managing partner of a successful law firm.
You know what that means. Long hours, late nights, tense at a desk.
Before law school I flew supersonic, carrier-based fighters for the US Navy. A fast-paced, high risk, high pressure job, with little margin of error.
So when it comes to chronic stress over the long term, I’ve walked the walk.
I’ve felt the effects of that stress on the body, mind, and emotions.
Stress-related illness, short-fused irritability, low mood.
Sound familiar?
Today, as Head Instructor at Chicago Tai Chi, I focus my energies on helping high performers like you discover—
How to deeply relax.
How to release baked-in tension and stress.
How to upgrade your health and feel vibrant.
But a big problem for many people is not enough time.
You’re already overloaded. So fitting in time for a Tai Chi, Qigong, or Meditation practice is challenging.
A barrier to deep relaxation.
That’s why I developed The Wellness Path Micropractice Series.
“Micropractices” are short practices you can drop into your day, 5 minutes here, 5 minutes there.
So you won’t be burdening your already overloaded schedule.
My Micropractices will help you
Sound good? I assure you it is.
In this Minicourse, I’ll lead you through 9 straightforward, time-tested Micropractices.
Micropractices that I have incorporated into my life and that I’ve taught to thousands students and clients.
I know this Minicourse will give you the tools you need to experience deep relaxation. In just five minutes a day.

When you focus on a screen for hours each day, you pack tension in and around the eyes. That can affect your vision, cause headaches, and make you feel miserable.
Relaxing your eyes provides a tool for releasing that tension, benefiting the health of this key area of the body.
But there's more... Relaxing the eyes can help you deeply relax your entire nervous system, releasing tension from your entire body, calming your mind, and settling your emotions.
Many people pack loads of tension into your mouth and jaw.
Frowning, pursing your lips, grinding your teeth, clenching your jaw. This can lead to dental problems, jaw dysfunction, and pain.
Relaxing your mouth and jaw provides a tool for releasing that tension.
That benefits the health of this complex part of the body.
Plus, relaxing the mouth and jaw can release tension in your entire head, helping you deeply relax your entire nervous system.
It's well established that a sedentary lifestyle is associated with a greater risk of chronic disease and death.
The damage comes from not just how long we sit, but how we sit.
In this Micropractice, I'll teach you how to sit in a way that supports your health, rather than harms.
It provides the antidote to the slumped, collapsed, imbalanced head forward posture so common today.
With this Micropractice, soon you'll soon be able to work at a computer, and relax your body. Imagine that!
Many of us pack tension into our hands and wrists. Working at a keyboard for hours each day will do it. Playing an instrument, working with tools, sewing and other handicrafts will do it too.
Over time, that chronic tension can lead to pain, loss of mobility and function in our hands and wrist.
With this Micropractice, you'll soon enjoy pain-free mobility in your hands and wrists.
Most people today hold baked-in, chronic tension in their shoulders and upper back.
That chronic tension degrades the health of this complex area of the body, leading to pain, stiffness, dysfunction, and injury.
You can drop this Micropractice into a 5 minute break in your your busy day. Soon you'll enjoy relaxed muscles, smooth movement, and improved function in your shoulders and upper back.
How often to you find yourself standing each day?
Standing in line. Waiting for an elevator. Taking care of common tasks at home or work.
Consider this: Each moment you stand presents an opportunity to release tension.
In this Micropractice, I'll show you how.
In most Western exercises, we push, strain, and increase tension.
In this Micropractice, you learn how to move your body and relax at the same time.
You'll learn simple moving exercises that promote the release of tension throughout your whole body.
Many ancient and contemporary relaxation practices incorporate breathwork.
In this Micropractice, you learn how to breathe in a way that is smooth, soft, and circular, promoting deep relaxation from the inside out.
Then you can layer this relaxed breathing into any other Micropractice, deepening your ability to release tension and stress.
In the final Micropractice, you'll learn to relax your mind, your awareness.
You'll discover how to soften your awareness, how to take the edge off.
You'll feel how this helps your mind become more present, calm, and clear.
