Chicago Tai Chi Awarded City of Chicago Chi Biz Strong Grant
Chicago-based Tai Chi School receives $10,000 grant from the City of Chicago, providing crucial support for continued delivery of online classes during pandemic.
Chicago, IL, February 8, 2020—** Chicago Tai Chi announced today that it received a $10,000 grant through the City of Chicago's Chi Biz Strong Program. The grant will support Chicago Tai Chi's continued delivery of online Tai Chi and Qigong classes from its studio located in the Chicago Loop.
Founder and Head Instructor Chris Cinnamon describes how the grant provides crucial support for their continued delivery of online Tai Chi and Qigong classes. "Since March 2020, we've provided more than 2600 online Tai Chi and Qigong classes. The classes have kept our Chicago-based students moving, connected, and engaged during the pandemic," said Cinnamon. "Plus the online format has helped us expand delivery of our high quality, professional instruction to people across the US."
"The Chi Biz Strong grant will support our continuing efforts expand our online classes and keep people active and having fun with Tai Chi and Qigong." said Cinnamon. "Much gratitude to Mayor Lightfoot and the City of Chicago."
